Below is a list of known issues, please let us know if you feel something's missing from the list and we'll also update the issues list as we work towards resolving them.
Installation
- It's best practice to completely remove an old version of Arkio before updating or installing a new version of the app. On a PC version, the following folders could be removed manually to reset the app when experiencing import/start problems
Modeling
- Difficult to delete large imported 3D models after they're placed in the scene
- When moving or editing shapes, only the parent being moved is checked for collision against other shapes
- Shapes can jump around when using the move or edit tools if more than one guide is nearby
- Child shapes may move unexpectedly when editing the face of a parent shape
- Boolean operations on stacks of shapes may not work as expected
- editing features of stacks of cells results in stack distortions
- Possible tesselation issues resulting in some faces of shapes not being displayed correctly after certain modeling operations
- Shapes can't intersect (for now)
Tools
- Section tool only works on the right hand
- Section view can't be shared with other meeting participants
UX
- Hands visible only on Oculus Rift(-s) and Quest
- The active tool and lasers sometimes get deactivated, a restart of the app can fix this issue
Meetings
- Models in meetings may go out of sync between meeting participants if a modeling operation by a user fails or if a model becomes corrupted, making a duplicate of the active model by the master users will refresh the scene for all participants
General
- Users may experience lag when imported 2D and 3D assets are loaded on app startup
Oculus Quest
- Long modeling session on a Quest could crash the app, it's advised to make regular duplicates of your scene
- Further optimization required when working with larger models (advised to not load more than 80K polygons in the Quest
