One of Arkio's main features is the possibility to design in real-time with other users located anywhere in the world. To start a multi-user session, select the Meetings icon in the Utilities menu or open the meetings panel from the Models Carousel.
To start a meeting, type in a username (the name that will be displayed to other users in the meeting), type in your company ID and select room name.
The company ID is left blank by default and needs at least 3 letters. We suggest to use your companies name or acronym for your office to make sure your design session will be private except for people that know this ID.
After a Company ID, you can give a meeting a name that's relevant to your project.
Connect to meeting
All users in a meeting must enter an identical company ID and Room Name to join the same meeting.
You can set your mic settings and mute yourself by selecting the microphone icon. If you don't hear any sound via your VR headset please make sure the speaker settings in Windows are properly set to the headset and not some other speaker.
Meeting models are shown in the Model carousel at a slight offset to users' local models.
Using the model carousel you can look at different options with your colleagues or make alternative design proposals without losing the previously discussed options. If you worked on a model locally you can also share this model with your coworkers by selecting that model and selecting the share button, as long as you are the meeting master. Custom content like locally loaded images, 3D model and map data are also shared with all meeting participants so everyone's always looking at the same scene to collaborate and discuss.
Models cannot be deleted until in single-user mode again. When you end a multi-user meeting the files you worked on with your team will automatically be converted to locally saved options.
